This year we have 1 High School Archer, Sophomore David Boyer, that has qualified to compete at the State Archery Tournament for 3D and Bullseye this year. The State Archery Tournament takes place March 19th - 22nd at the Branson Convention Center in Branson, MO. David is scheduled to shoot 3D on Thursday, March 20th at 4:30pm and he will shoot Bullseye on Saturday, March 22nd at 2:00pm.
David has been on the Archery Team for 3 years and this will be the second time that David will be competing in the State Tournament. The first time was 2 years ago when he was in 8th grade and was competing in the Middle School Division and he was the 3D State Champion in the Middle School Division. After taking 1st place in 3D at the State Tournament, he qualified to move on to the Western National 3D Archery Tournament in Sandy, Utah where he was the Western Nationals 3D National Champion in the Middle School Division and Runner-Up High Overall from all archers 4th-12th grade, boys and girls. After competing so well at Western Nationals, he qualified to move onto the World Championship Archery Tournament that was in Myrtle Beach, SC in June. At that tournament he took 3rd place in the Middle School Division.
In addition to all of his awards and titles he obtained that year, he also is the Kingston Archery High Score Record Holder in 3D.
Congrats David and GOOD LUCK at state!!!
