Prim/ Elem Librarian, Teacher

I am originally from Festus, and I graduated in 1996 from Festus R-6 High School.  I went to Jefferson College in Hillsboro and received my Associate’s Degree with a major in Journalism.  After a semester at the University of Missouri– Columbia, I changed my major to music and went to the University of Missouri– St. Louis. There, I received my Bachelor’s Degree in instrumental music with an emphasis on percussion.  I taught band for 6 years with most of that time being in the South Iron School District in Annapolis, Missouri.  I have always been an avid reader, and loved being in libraries.  I feel very lucky to have found a position in the Kingston School District.  In my spare time, I enjoy reading, playing the drums, and a variety of outdoor activities.
